Kimberly Noel Kardashian was born on October 21st 1980 in Los Angeles, California to Kris and Robert Kardashian Sr. She is half Armenian on her father’s side and is of half Scottish-Dutch decent on her mother’s side. The second child for the couple, Kim became the younger sister to Kourtney and eventually the older sister to Khloe, Robert Jr., Kendall & Kylie.

Kim shares her birthday with fellow socialite and daughter of Rolling Stones frontman Mike Jagger, Jade Jagger (1971), actor Matt Dallas (1982) and even Judge Judy herself, Judy Sheindlin (1942).

October 21st also has been host to worldwide historic events that include:
» 1774 – First display of the word “Liberty” on a flag, raised by colonists in Taunton, Massachusetts in defiance of British rule in Colonial America.
» 1945 – Women are allowed to vote in France for the first time.
» 1973 – Fred Dryer of the then Los Angeles Rams becomes the first player in NFL history to score two safeties in the same game.
» 1977 – The European Patent Institute is founded.

As well as being public holidays around the world:
» United Kingdom: ‘Apple Day’ – First started in 1990, the day is an annual celebration of apples and orchards. Activities to celebrate range from apple games in a garden to large village fairs with cookery demonstrations, games, apple identification, juice and cider, gardening advice, and of course many hundreds of apple varieties. More recently, the day in celebrated over the course of a weekend closest to October 21st. Maybe Kim’s new fragrance should have more of an apple scent in celebration of her birthday and Apple Day?

» United Kingdom: ‘Trafalgar Day’ – Trafalgar Day is the celebration of the victory won by the Royal Navy, commanded by Vice-Admiral Horatio Nelson over the combined French and Spanish fleets at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21st 1805.

» USA & Mexico: ‘International Day of the Nacho’ – Pretty self explanatory, maybe Kim could celebrate her birthday with nice Nachos?

» Thailand: ‘National Nurses’ Day’ – This public holiday celebrated in Thailand, commemorates the birth of Princess Srinagarindra, the Princess Mother.
