“Dancing with the Stars – the Tour” will two-step its way into Scottrade Center Jan. 16, according to the TV show’s touring schedule. The venue has not yet released information on the event. The tour begins Dec. 17 in San Diego. This season of “Dancing with Stars,” which is still inching its way toward the finale, includes present and eliminated contestants such as Toni Braxton, Lance Bass, Warren Sapp, Ted McKinley, Kim Kardashian, and Susan Lucci. Wouldn’t it be something if Cloris Leachman, the show’s comic relief, was among those earmarked for the tour? Published on November 4th, 2008and filed under Dancing with the Stars, Latest Headlines |

Sad news, America. Kim Kardashian won’t be sashaying across your TV screens again. While it was rumored she’d be replacing recently injured Misty May-Treanor on Dancing with the Stars, producers opted to go another route, according to E! News: As it turns out, no one will be returning to fill Misty’s prematurely empty dancing shoes, vacated this week after the beach-volleyball champ became the first contestant to have to withdraw from Dancing With the Stars midseason due to injury. Kim Kardashian says she ready to come back to “Dancing with the Stars” and fill Misty May-Treanor’s dancing shoes! “I would totally go back, if they ask me,” Kim told Ryan Seacrest’s Kiis-FM radio show. Kim was eliminated from the show last week and Misty dropped out of the competition Monday after she ruptured her Achilles tendon. The reality star says if they need her to fill Misty’s role on the show, she will! “[Misty]‘s doing OK. Her spirits are really good, but you know, I wouldn’t wish that upon anyone,” Kardashian said. “But hey, if they asked me back, I’m there!” Kim is returning to Los Angeles today and has already contacted her dancing partner! “I texted my partner Mark [Ballas] last night and said, ‘Are you ready to go back? Are we going back?’” No announcements yet on Kim’s return to the show — but tonight on ABC, another “DWTS” contestant will be voted off the program. E! Online reports the following: E! News’ very own Ryan Seacrest just spoke with Kim Kardashian, and it looks like she might (possibly) be returning to Dancing With the Stars despite her shocking elimination last week! This news comes, of course, in the wake of fellow Star Misty May-Treanor’s injury. ABC says that “[Misty's] condition will be addressed on the show,” and Kim is not officially confirming that she is back in if Misty is out, but when contacted by E! News, Kardashian (who is in New Orleans for boyfriend Reggie Bush’s Monday Night Football game at the Superdome) says: “If they ask me to, I’m available. I’m back home tomorrow. We’ll see!” So why would Misty’s injury add up to Kim’s return? Well… We’ve all seen reality shows before, and this definitely fits the formula of what happens after a contestant leaves due to injury or illness. Remember when Jack Mackenroth had to bow out of Project Runway season four because of a medical condition? Chris March, the most recent eliminee, returned to fill the empty slot. Or when Jessica King dropped out of So You Think You Can Dance this summer because of an injury? Most recent eliminee Comfort Fedoke stepped in to fill the empty slot. In case you didn’t hear the news about Misty, Olympic women’s volleyball star May-Treanor suffered an injury (said to be to her Achilles tendon) on Friday. Producers released a statement saying, “Doctors will reevaluate her condition on Monday and determine the outcome of her participation on the show.” No telling what that determination was, but it sure seems possible that Misty could be unable to continue with season seven of ABC’s hit dance-competition reality series. There’s also no word yet on what this might mean for Kim’s former partner, Mark Ballas, or for Misty’s partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy. She may have been inconsolable after her elimination, but now Kim Kardashian is breathing a sigh of relief that her Dancing With the Stars days are over. “She’s actually relieved because the judges were really harsh on her,” Khloe Kardashian told PEOPLE on Saturday night in the VIP room at a Pepsi Smash concert at Nokia Theatre in New York. “I’m so proud of her for doing it because Kim is so brutally shy. And people don’t really know that,” she said. “For her to even commit to a show like that, it’s growth for her.” Khloe — who will star in the next season of Celebrity Apprentice — couldn’t make it to the show’s taping, so she would text with Kardashian’s beau, New Orleans Saints running back Reggie Bush. “Reggie would be texting me, “Ugh, they were so mean!” or “She did so good!” Reggie and I would go crazy. He’s in New Orleans, so he was watching it live,” she told PEOPLE. Is Kim embarrassed at all that she was booted off so early in the show? “No, not at all,” she said. “She’s proud of herself. She’s definitely grown doing it.” Even after watching her sister face Dancing’s tough judges, Khloe says she’s ready to face the notoriously tough Donald Trump on Celebrity Apprentice. “I’m not nervous. I don’t get scared of people,” she said. “Whatever I do, I have fun with it. If I get voted off, it is what it is. It was a great experience.” Source: People.com Published on October 6th, 2008and filed under Dancing with the Stars, Latest Headlines |

Numerous sources are reporting that Misty May-Treanor sustained an injury while practicing for Dancing With The Stars on Friday. ABC has confirmed the injury, but the network has stayed quiet on if the injury will force Misty off the show. Some early reports stated that Misty May-Treanor broke her ankle, but ABC has denied that Misty’s ankle is broken. According to Access Hollywood, a source told them that Misty May-Treanor will need surgery and is out of the competition. On the official Dancing With The Stars message board, rumors are running rampant over a possible ABC cover-up on the status of Misty May-Treanor. Some posters are suggesting that Misty May-Treanor is definitely out of the competition, but ABC doesn’t want to confirm it, because they want people tuning in to the show on Monday to find out. As would be expected, there is also much speculation over who will take Misty May-Treanor’s place if the injury does force her out of the competition. One rumor suggests that Misty’s volleyball partner Kerri Walsh will be stepping in to dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy. However, this rumor is very unlikely, as Kerri Walsh is also reported to be currently out of the country, taking part in the Swatch FIVB Beach Volley World Tour in Dubai. Another rumor is that Kim Kardashian will be returning to the competition. While this rumor has not been confirmed, it’s not uncommon in reality TV that the last eliminated contestant returns when someone has to unexpectedly drop out of the competition. If Kim Kardashian does return, it’s likely that would mean the return of her partner Mark Ballas as well. Or could Kim be asked to switched partners and dance with Maksim Chmerkovskiy instead? Source: RealityTVMagazine.com What do you guys think? If this is remotely true, would you welcome Kim back to DWTS? Dancing With the Stars’ champ and country star Julianne Hough writes on her blog that she wasn’t surprised that Kim Kardashian was eliminated from the show Tuesday. “Kim was one of the weaker ones,” she writes. “I hate saying that, but it’s true.” But that doesn’t mean she isn’t a fan of Kardashian, whom she calls “a real sweetheart. Everyone has their perceptions of people before they meet them, and I can tell you she’s such a good person. Obviously, though, people have to be voted off to keep the show going. That’s the name of the game.” And there you have it. Published on October 2nd, 2008and filed under Dancing with the Stars |
