As we previously reported, Kim had planned to go into hiding following the apparent backlash her divorce announcement had amongst the press and some fans which would also include her opting out of any filming for the upcoming season of Keeping up with the Kardashians. Lamar’s birthday dinner will presumably be included in the new season of the hit reality show as a notice was placed in the restaurant that forewarned potential diners that filming was commencing within the premises.

Despite missing out on the celebrations, Kim was however caught by photographers visiting her estranged husband’s house in Minnesota this past weekend for a rumoured meeting with the pastor who married them to talk about possibly saving their marriage.

Kim will apparently start filming for her part in an upcoming Tyler Perry movie, ‘The Marriage Counselor’ this month, thus ending her short stay away from work, the limelight and the public.

TMZ report that the couple met with their pastor, Joel Johnson to talk about their marriage and the possibility of saving it. Sources close to Kim apparently alerted TMZ that the chance of a reconciliation was ‘up in the air’ and talks with their pastor were said to have lasted for four hours. The gossip website reports that Kris was ‘estatic’ that Kim travelled to Minnesota and ‘…thinks he can win her back.’

The last minute trip was brief for Kim who recently cut short her promotional trip to Australia to go into hiding following a backlash in the media after she filed for divorce on October 31st after 72 days of marriage to Humphries. She was photographed landing back in Los Angeles looking pretty exhausted as having travelled to see Kris and their pastor and then straight back home with a bodyguard in tow.

The intention of her visit remains vague but TMZ are reporting Kim has travelled to see her husband and is ‘conflicted’ about divorce. Sources apparently close to Kim have expressed to the gossip website that Kim’s trip to see Kris was ‘very last minute… She felt like she owed it to him to talk things through face-to-face. We’re told no reality show cameras were involved.’

While sources say that Kim wasn’t entirely sure about ending her marriage before she even filed for divorce on October 31st, she was rumoured to be visibly upset the weekend leading up to it. TMZ’s sources stress that the meeting of the seperated couple is not necessarily a reconciliation, ‘but the door is definitely not shut.’

Following her promotional trip to Australia, (fulfilling commitments planned months in advance) Kim has reportedly taken to great lengths to avoid the intense media presence around her by being rumoured to have hired a double to distract paparazzi and planning getaways involving decoy vehicles to throw photographers off over her whereabouts.

It was recently speculated that Kim will not be involved in any filming for a new season of Keeping up with the Kardashians until at least early next year. She is instead rumoured to be in hiding until she is due on location to film scenes for her co-starring role in Tyler Perry’s forthcoming movie, amptly named ‘The Marriage Counselor’ later this month and is thought to be opting out of making any public appearance concerning her mother Kris Jenner and brother-in-law Lamar Odom’s birthdays.

TMZ reports that Kim will not be filming any new footage for the forthcoming season of Keeping up with the Kardashians until early next year. Kim will presumably be taking the time away from the cameras to privately deal with her impending divorce and using the time to heal. The gossip website suggests that her split from the basketball star will be acknowledged once filming has started but any ‘behind the scenes crying, fighting and other divorce-related stuff’ won’t make it’s way on to the air (understandably).

According to TMZ, Kim alerted members of family on her father’s side before she filed papers a few days ago. The gossip website alleges that Kim expressed her embarrassment at the impromptu end of her marriage after just 72 days, for which she cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ in the court documents.

TMZ further reports that Kim emailed her family with the news only hours before she filed court documents: “I would rather you hear it from me than someone else or the news… I know this seems crazy … I’ve spent the last few months struggling with my marriage.”

“Kris is a great guy but we come from such different worlds and he isn’t what I thought when we 1st met… I’m embarrassed that I took everyone on this journey with me and had this huge wedding. But I have to be happy, so I have to let this relationship go.”

When reached for comment, Kim’s representatives were unavailable.

GossipCop reports that Kim was scheduled to attend the Stakes Day horse racing event in Melbourne this Saturday, November 5th.

In a statement, Kim expressed her disappointment for cancelling her appearance stating: “…I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another point in time…”

Kim will reportedly return home to presumably deal with the increased press coverage surrounding her impending divorce.

E! News confirms Kim did not give a formal reason for the split aside from the ever-popular and all-encompassing irreconcilable differences. But she did take time out to break her silence on the split and release a statement to E! News, explaining her decision to file for the quickie divorce.

“After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage,” she said. “I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.”

Kardashian cited “irreconcilable differences” in court documents filed in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The filings list the date of separation as today (October 31).

Kardashian’s close friend Ryan Seacrest confirmed the couple’s divorce on Twitter, writing: “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her.”

The couple tied the knot just 72 days ago in a a $20m fairytale wedding in Montecito, California in front of other members of the Kardashian family, Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan and Eva Longoria.

Kardashian will reportedly be represented in the divorce proceedings by attorney Laura Wasser, who has previously aided stars such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds. She has asked that the couple split attorneyss fees, but will not be seeking spousal support from Humphries.

An insider has claimed that one major reason why the couple split is that they couldn’t decide where to live following their wedding. Humphries reportedly wanted to move to his home state of Minnesota, while Kardashian hoped to settle down near her family in LA.

The reality star previously suggested during an interview with Jay Leno that both she and Humphries signed prenuptial agreements prior to their wedding.

Rumours of a possible split were fuelled last week, when Kardashian admitted that living in the public eye put a strain on her and Humphries’s relationship.

Kardashian later said that she doesn’t let media speculation on her love life upset her, and also insisted that she and Humphries always try to make time for one another.

Her first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas also ended in divorce in 2004.

Reps for Kardashian and Humphries haven’t yet commented.

Kim has officially arrived in New York! Landing in the Big Apple with her new husband Kris Humphries, Kim also made the trip with older sister Kourtney, her boyfriend Scott and their son Mason. The move to the infamous city will see the filming of the second season of ‘Kardashians’ spin off show, Kourtney and Kim Take New York.
