Music producer, songwriter and singer The-Dream recently stopped by “RapFix Live” to discuss his latest projects and his experiences working with some of the industry’s most-talented divas. While running down his list of collaborations, Mr. Terius Nash revealed that it was he who reached out to reality star Kim Kardashian last year to create the single “Jam (Turn It Up).”

It seems like the Kardashians have their stamp on everything these days — from diet pills to primetime guest spots on sitcoms, to their own clothing line — so it wasn’t a stretch to assume that mom, Kris Jenner, would push her children into another project that could potentially amass millions for the Kardashian trademark. But, The-Dream tells us otherwise.

“I’m the one that actually called her to do it,” the producer revealed during his interview with Sway Calloway.

“This was very, very — believe it or not — a very fun moment for me. It’s one of my lightest musical moments. … It wasn’t about kicking off a singing career; it was us really having the power of TV and goofing off.”

Knowing that the Kardashians weren’t planning to monopolize every form of entertainment is a bit of a relief. And as for the The-Dream, his career hasn’t hit any roadblocks since he and Kim K fooled around in the studio.
