Kardashian cited “irreconcilable differences” in court documents filed in Los Angeles, according to TMZ. The filings list the date of separation as today (October 31).

Kardashian’s close friend Ryan Seacrest confirmed the couple’s divorce on Twitter, writing: “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her.”

The couple tied the knot just 72 days ago in a a $20m fairytale wedding in Montecito, California in front of other members of the Kardashian family, Seacrest, Lindsay Lohan and Eva Longoria.

Kardashian will reportedly be represented in the divorce proceedings by attorney Laura Wasser, who has previously aided stars such as Britney Spears, Angelina Jolie and Ryan Reynolds. She has asked that the couple split attorneyss fees, but will not be seeking spousal support from Humphries.

An insider has claimed that one major reason why the couple split is that they couldn’t decide where to live following their wedding. Humphries reportedly wanted to move to his home state of Minnesota, while Kardashian hoped to settle down near her family in LA.

The reality star previously suggested during an interview with Jay Leno that both she and Humphries signed prenuptial agreements prior to their wedding.

Rumours of a possible split were fuelled last week, when Kardashian admitted that living in the public eye put a strain on her and Humphries’s relationship.

Kardashian later said that she doesn’t let media speculation on her love life upset her, and also insisted that she and Humphries always try to make time for one another.

Her first marriage to music producer Damon Thomas also ended in divorce in 2004.

Reps for Kardashian and Humphries haven’t yet commented.

Kim, Kourtney & Khloè were photographed leaving their hotel in Manhattan, New York yesterday as they headed out for an appearance on ‘The Late Show’ with David Letterman.

The girls were promoting their exclusive Kardashian Kollection for Sears. Kim sported a black sheer ensemble as the trip to the studio and was spotted leaving, in a change of clothes presumably a piece from their ‘Kollection’. Check out photos below!

Kim was spotted out and about in New York yesterday where she treated herself to a trip to the salon for a ‘mani/pedi’. Kim keeps it casual as she’s photographed crossing the street.

Later on, with filming for spin off show Kourtney & Kim Take New York in full swing, Kim and Kourtney were pictured visiting the NYC DASH store in Soho. Kim looks stunning after changing into a colorful dress as paparazzi and a crowd of fans watch her enter and later exit the store. Check out photos below!

Kim and her older sister Kourtney were spotted by paparazzi shooting scenes for the second season of their reality spin off show, Kourtney & Kim Take New York yesterday. The sisters were photographed as they visited a grocery store to pick up some essentials for their New York pads as filming will see them in the city for at least a number of weeks.

Kim and Kris were photographed heading for the Naples airport yesterday, heading back to Los Angeles after their short European honeymoon. The are said to have enjoyed a stay in Italy prior to reports they wouldn’t have time for a honeymoon until well into next year, citing a busy work schedule as the reason for postponement.

The newlywed couple were then photographed at LAX airport following the flight home, ensuring a chaotic trip to the car amidst the aftermath of the wedding buzz from last week.
